Disney (DIS 1.10%) is increasing prices for its premium streaming services, marking the fourth straight year of hikes. The ad-supported Disney+ tier jumps 20% to $11.99 monthly, while the ad-free Premium version climbs 19% to $18.99. Select bundles with Hulu and ESPN will also see increases.
The MOVE continues an aggressive pricing strategy since Disney+'s 2019 launch at $6.99/month. Early adopters secured rates as low as $4.99, making the current Premium tier nearly triple its debut price. With 183 million combined Disney+ and Hulu subscribers, the streaming business now significantly impacts Disney's financial performance.
